Dedicating Your Time

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Superstition Community Food Bank, we never lose sight of what drives our efforts:

Working Together to Feed the Hungry.

Can You Help Us?
We need adult volunteers for our client roster now more than ever. We welcome volunteers willing to give as little as one shift a month to one a week – about 3.5 hours per shift. The benefits to you are many – The experience is fun, it’s healthy both physically and mentally, it’s social and rewarding. We provide training for Warehouse and Client Services volunteers.

Community Advocate
A Community Relations Specialist will increase awareness, financial support, food drives, and volunteer resources by sharing our mission with the community and donors.

Warehouse
Working in our warehouse requires the ability to stand for several hours, lift 20 pounds and pay close attention to detail and the desire to be part of a team under the directions of the Shift Leader.

Curbside
Working a Curbside shift involves loading the groceries into the clients cars in order to maintain our no-contact food distribution. A desire to help those in need is key to this role.

Client Services
At our Client Services desk, volunteers greet and meet clients, check required documentation, and perform simple data entry. A kind heart and a desire to help are useful skills for this position.

Virtual Assistance
We are looking for people with skills such as graphic artist, writers, editors, and grant writers who are willing to help us and work virtually. Spreading the word about the food bank is done through posters, articles and newsletters just to name a few and we need people who can help us create these items and more.

Court Ordered Community Service
We welcome court ordered community service workers as volunteers, but cannot accept walk-ins. Court ordered documents must be submitted to the food bank for review. Please note that generating a completion letter takes a few weeks once you have completed your service hours.

Board Member
A Board Member supports the Mission of the food bank. We are looking for individuals who have leadership experience, especially in corporate law, banking, grant-writing, construction and corporate policy.
