AJHS STUDENTS RALLY TO FIGHT HUNGER OVER THE HOLIDAYS
Students at Apache Junction High School are having a food drive competition to aid the Superstition Community Food Bank. The event, initiated by the Student Council, has the whole student body engaged in collecting holiday-related canned goods and non-perishables for delivery to the food bank.

According to Council Vice President Kendall Powell, “Students are asked to bring donations to their first-hour class of the day. At the end of the drive, the first-hour class with the most donations will win a pizza party. We’ve made it a fun competition, and everyone is getting involved. So much so, that we’ll probably continue the drive past Thanksgiving and into the first part of December. We missed doing a food drive last year because of COVID, so we were anxious to help out the food bank once again.”
